There are countless reasons to visit Southern Africa. Blessed with a magnificent natural beauty, fertile soil for growing grapes, flowers and exotic plants, as well as being home to countless species of birds and animals, Southern Africa makes an unforgettable trip of a lifetime.
Matthew and Danna Brumley, owners of Earthbound Expeditions, returned recently from a fabulous "garden safari" to South Africa, Botswana and Zimbabwe. Joined by 25 garden enthusiasts and Walter Reeves, garden guru and host of "the Lawn and Garden Show with Walter Reeves," the group visited Little Brenthurst gardens in the Johannesburg area, the famous Kirstenbosch Gardens in the Stellenbosch area, as well as 5 additional private and botanical gardens during the trip. In addition to the diverse South African gardens, we also enjoyed wine-tasting in the Stellenbosch wine region, famous for its delicious award-winning wines, and game drives in Pilanesburg National Park.
Many in the group also joined a post-tour extension to Chobe National Park in Botswana, participating in 4 outstanding game drives, then staying in the gorgeous Victoria Falls Safari Lodge in Zimbabwe, where they admired the stunning and powerful falls, #4 on the world's natural wonder list.

News from South Africa ...
January 19, 2010
Hello fellow Earthbounder,
As I write this note I am sitting in the middle of Pillansberg National Park in the north of South Afirca. Words cannot truly describe the beauty of this country. Over the course of the last week we have visited Robben Island and seen the very small prison cell where Mandela was held for countless years. Taken a cable car up to the top of Table Mountain. Sipped some very fine wines in the Cape Winelands and hiked along the coast of the Cape of Good Hope.
And now.... here we are zooming off on daily game drives where on the first morning out we saw several elephants, baboons, rhinos, springbok and several zebras. It is has truly been a magical trip.

In the morning we fly north to Botswana where we'll stay three nights in a game lodge in Chobe Nat'l park. After we'll enjoy two wonderful nights at Victoria Falls.
I hope you can join us on our next expedition to Africa. For more information please visit us at: www.earthboundexpeditions.com
Cheers,

Off to South Africa, Botswana and Victoria Falls
January 07, 2010
Dear friend and fellow traveler,
On Monday, January 11, 2010 I will be arriving in one of my favorite cities on the planet.
Cape Town, South Africa sits on a beautiful bay and the backdrop is towering table mountain. In just a few days we’ll be exploring Nelson Mandela’s prison on Robben Island, zooming up to the top of Table Mountain on a gondola, driving down the coast to the Cape of Good Hope and threading our way through vineyards and historic Dutch villages.
From there we head north where we’ll spend three nights in the African bush. And a lucky few will then head farther north to Chobe National Park in Botswana. And finally, we’ll spend two magical nights in Victoria Falls.
Fallen along! Who knows, you just might find yourself falling in love with Africa.
More news to come…
